I would rather suffer hardships than fail. In other words, to achieve success is my only desire. We all know that there are many factors of success. Now let me write down the important ones in the following.
Diligence – Foolish as a person is, he can succeed in his work if he works hard. That does not admit of any doubt.
Perseverance – When you fail, don’t lose heart. Keep on working until you accomplish your aim.
Honesty – If you tell lies or does not keep your words, no one will rely on you. I would rather be scolded than cheat others.
I would say it is one of the most impressive passages for me because it claims the desire for success straightly and the posture is so strong that you can actually gain power from it. I’ve been motivated by the words since I was in my senior high school.
You cannot easily define success, though. I mean, it’s even harder to distinguish what you really need to do, especially when you are facing too much trouble and confronted with all those tough jobs. Yet I hope one can be motivated and avoid frustration and keep going till the end, till the end of my life.
